As we say goodbye 2021, we reflect on the good times, new friendships made, and the new things we tried out this year. We go into 2022 optimistically, hopeful we will have continued success as we plan to try out even more Art mediums at our Paint Parties.
The traveling Paint and Sip businesses have been popping up everywhere since Covid. Years ago there were more brick-and- mortar Paint and Sip stores than mobile businesses, but times have changed. In fact, Muse Paint Bar, the leading paint and sip store in Connecticut, recently went out of business in Glastonbury, CT. More competition in the traveling drink and paint business, means keeping up with the local trends. In 2020 we added wooden signs and glass projects to our menu, in addition to the traditional canvas painting parties. This past year we tried even more new mediums. We did mandala rock paintings for the first time, LED glass lanterns, and decoupage. Next up this year, we will be experimenting with adding wood burning, calligraphy, and ceramics to our menu. Essentially our Paint Party business has become “CT Art & Craft Parties” these days, as there isn’t a medium I can think of that we would turn down. In fact, I implore customers to come to me with their unique ideas. I love the challenge of coming up with something new and different, and welcome the opportunity to try it out on a new crowd at a party. While we expand doing more “Arts and Craft Parties,” than just Paint Parties, we aren’t quite ready to change our name yet, but perhaps in the future!
The one thing I love about art is that it is limitless in the mediums you can use and infinite with the ideas, ways, and directions it can go on. All artistic mediums offer the therapeutic benefits of doing art, which I’ve talked about previously- as well as the benefits of being social, after years of isolation. So, as we move towards our new unique Paint Party options in 2022, we hope to inspire you to try something new this year!
We fear what we do not know. With that being said, please do not be intimated by trying something new at one of our parties. As usual, I will teach you step-by-step and be present to help everyone out individually if needed. If you know me, you know how important it is to me that you love your project and enjoy yourself at our parties. Drinking and painting alone almost always guarantees lots of laughs and a good time, but satisfaction with your project also does, and that’s just as important to me.
If you’re interested in trying out some of the different types of Paint Parties we offer, other than canvas painting, feel free to contact us to see when we will be having our next unique Paint Party at local business. Lately we’ve been teaming up with wineries and breweries in the state of Connecticut, for the ultimate Paint and Sip experience. If you do not drink, do not fear-most of these places offer plenty of refreshing alternatives, and most of them also allow outside food in (they usually have a food truck outside too). We just ask that you check with us or the venue before bringing in.
Cheers to painting and trying out new mediums in 2022! Hope to see you all soon:)
